“But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever”. Psalm 52:8

One week, with psalms and smiles

When the LORD brought back the captives to Zion, we were like men who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. Psalm 126:1-3

Restore our fortunes, O LORD, like streams in the Negev. Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him. Psalm 126:4-6

Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Psalm 127:3-4

This first week with Vitoria at home has been very special. We had, naturally, some difficulties of adaptation to create a new routine at home. We spent, however, wonderful moments of peace and calm. She is resting a lot in her new crib, much bigger than the one she had in the hospital; she's sunbathing and even throwing a few tantrums, for she can now enjoy being held by mommy and daddy at all times...
Due to medical advice, she still cannot receive visitors, for she spent five months in isolation in the hospital, and she hasn't received all the vaccine shots she's supposed to at her age. We need to be very careful during this adaptation phase. We've posted this week's pictures below, so that everyone reading this blog can feel closer to our daughter Vitoria:

Did anybody see Vitoria?

Oh, no... they found me!

Five more minutes, please...

I think I saw a kitty cat...

What pleasant sunshine!

The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. Psalm 145:9

Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— the LORD, who remains faithful forever. Psalm146:5-6

This is our little flower, planted and watered with many tears, but now we can joyfully see her blooming.
